slow morning pancakes

start your day with

gluten, dairy & sugar free!

Pancakes are a regular occurrence in our house, and not just for weekends! A delicious treat with some nutritious upgrades make these pancakes our family’s go-to.

Love pancakes but not the bloating regular pancakes can bring? These are gluten and dairy free, with no added sugar, and full of ingredients that will keep you full, without the energy crash refined flour and sugar can bring.

Mix together:

1 1/2 cups of flour*: 1/2 cup chickpea flour, 1/2 cup almond flour, 1/2 cup oat flour
3 tablespoons ground flax
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Add:
1 mashed banana
1 egg*
1 - 1/4 cup of milk of your choice (we like pat or almond)

Mix all ingredients together

Add in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips or blueberries

Cook in a pan with lots of butter or avocado oil

Topping ideas

Maple Syrup
Nuts & Seeds
Cacao nibs
Hemp seeds
Yogurt
Berries or other fruit

*Other flour options that work in the same proportions: buckwheat, quinoa, lentil, I don’t recommend coconut flour as the texture is a bit spongy.

*Pasture raised eggs are the most nutrient-dense if you can get them!
